Celebrating 100 years of singing excellence
In 2011 the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus celebrates its centenary. Centenary news and events will be published on the Centenary page which can be accessed via the 'About Us' drop down menu
The Bournemouth Symphony Chorus has a membership of around 160 singers, and gives the majority of its concerts with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
The chorus has also been engaged to sing with other orchestras, including the National Youth Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Wales and the Academy of London.
Conductors with whom we have appeared include Kirill Karabits, Marin Alsop, Yakov Kreizberg, Richard Hickox, Tamas Vasary, Andrew Litton, Mark Elder, Wayne Marshall, Kees Bakels, Jiri Kout, David Hill, Richard Armstrong, Paul Daniel and Grant Llewellyn.
We also give regular concerts independently, either a capella or with organ or ensembles. |
